Brilliant Post
Now Playing: "Eye in the Sky" by the Alan Parsons Project
Michelle Malkin calls our attention to this very powerful essay at Varifrank.com about how very selfish this Cindy Sheehan dame is.

There would be no point in excerpting any of it for you here; it's organically whole.

As Butch and Sundance might have asked, "Who is this guy?"

So why doesn't Bush talk to her? Is he too busy relaxing, or is he afraid of her, or what? Even. Sen. Warner and Sen. Allen have said he should. Smear her if you will, not speaking to her makes Bush look small and arrogant and heartless. This guy will never allow anyone to hold him accountable for anything, will he?

If Bush talks to this woman, it would legitimize her as an ultra-Left partisan who finally snuck into the inner sanctum. And, then, Bush would be that much more obligated to speak with all the loved ones of all the military men and women killed overseas. Which, since he does not have the time to do that, would mean that he would be snubbing even the mothers of soldiers who aren't exploiting their children's sacrifices.

The anti-Bush Left love to hang out pinatas like "Mother Sheehan" at all their parties just to see the pro-war Right smack it around some. That way, these Moore-ons can feel better about their own ---and vastly more numerable--- conflicts with the military culture.

Well, excellent choice, Dub. Instead of all that you make yourself look like a cowardly, arrogant, asshole who can't be bothered to pull himself away from a two-hour bike ride to speak for fifteen minutes as a courtesy to the mother of a man he sent to his death. Marie Antoinette had a better sensitivity chip than that. I'm sure Casey Sheehan would love hearing the way the emperor-worshippers are sliming his mom. Keep it up, so the American people can get a good look at the real traitors and soldier-spitters. Kiss what's left of your credibility good-bye.

Do you really think Bush not talking to this woman is a matter of lacking "courtesy" or "sensitivity"? Be serious. This is about Leftist propaganda and emotional prostitution. Sheehan is losing her mind ---and Big Media is getting it on tape.

Sick.

"I'm sure Casey Sheehan would love hearing the way the emperor-worshippers are sliming his mom"

I have no doubt that Casey would be embarrassed by the actions of his mother. By all accounts, Casey believed in what he was doing. Cindy Sheehan is cheapening and demeaning her son's conviction and service. Thanks to men like him, men like you can call our president a "cowardly, arrogant, asshole" in a public forum without fear of incarceration or death. And now, also thanks to men like him, citizens in Iraq can berate their government as well.

But his mother is fair game, eh? It's OK for your ilk to demonize her, right? She doesn't have to worry about incarceration (so far) or death (the death threats aside, for the moment), but she is subject to abuse, vilification, demonization, and smearing for disagreeing with the President and for daring to ask to speak with him.

Do you seriously suggest that's what Casey had in mind when he put his life on the line, so you guys could be free to trash his mom???

You take the low road and then pose and prance around on a high horse. How ludicrous!

No, it would be too generous to call it discourtesy. It's pure cowardice and nothing more. He is afraid to talk to her except as before in a screened and scripted situation. Bush is flat-out afraid of her. No question about it. He's a coward.

Have I written even one word demonizing, abusing, vilifying or smearing Ms. Sheehan? No. You are quick to try to deflect my point by responding with a baseless attack, but your lack of foundation is glaring.

As for "posing and prancing", I have done neither, but I am a former Marine, have fought for this country, and would have felt embarrassment from the grave had my mother acted as Ms. Sheehan if I had been KIA. Yes, my mom was sad and scared when I left for Desert Storm, but I knew what I was getting into when I volunteered (it is a VOLUNTEER military, therefore we can't consider our military men "victims" for being called to do what is the very nature of their chosen career), and had my mother acted as we see Ms. Sheehan, I would have considered it a slap in the face. Clearly, you can not understand. I'm sure that, again, instead of trying to understand, you will simply attack me again in some baseless fashion. Have at it - it's all you've got.
