Something to Hold on To
Be sure to read this very entertaining blogstory about the Iraqi doctor who visits his uncle and his family.

There are whole worlds out there for us to "conquer," friends. Conquer with prosperity, hope, and liberty.

Do you want to know who are the greatest traitors to peace and freedom today? The anti-war crowd and the insurgents they support with their sedition and lies here at home. Ignore these wretched fucks. The Michael Moores and Peter Jenningses of the world can never appreciate the beauty that they and their own little legions of cocksuckers are trying to trample upon.

DOWN WITH THE FASCIST LEFT!!! DOWN WITH INSURGENCY SYMPATHIZERS!!!

Amnesia International
Mood:  quizzical
If you were to go to this Amnesty International report on the genocide taking place in the Sudan, you will not find a single mention of the words Arab or Muslim.

Why is that?

A Dhimmi off His Head?
Here's some irresponsible rumormongering: do you suppose it's possible that Nick Berg was an al-Qaedist groupie whom Zarqawi beheaded to give Berg's father ---a radical anti-war protester--- a platform from which to denounce the Bush Administration? See this very interesting blog entry and tell me that's not a possibility.

Appalling Stupidity
Mood:  special
Over at the Leftist weblog The Left Coaster, I've been treated to an example of appalling stupidity so perfect that I simply have to reproduce it here. The obliging shitforbrains is a guy named Brian Bell. He responded to my observation that "Bush is more likely to find Saddam's WMD in Syria than anywhere else" with the following post. You will notice that I was rendered mostly speechless in the face of such phenomenal idiocy; what fisking I could manage is in italics.

Bell: Let's ignore the lack of evidence for this, except for rumours published on Debka.

Why ignore the strong possibility that it's true? Even David Kay thinks it happened.

I mean, no evidence of any kind has been brought forth regarding this supposed movement of WMD, and surely we had a large amount of surveillance going on before the war, particularly along known porous borders.

Yeah, but what good is American intelligence? Is it good when it supports your argument?

But, again, for the sake of argument, we're going to ignore the lack of evidence and take these rumors on face value.

Well, if the large quantities of WMD that virtually every government and intelligence agency in the world said that Saddam had before the war haven't (yet) been found in Iraq, shouldn't there be some reasonable expectation that they were moved to a friendly country?

Okay, before the '91 Gulf War, more than a few Iraqi fighters, perhaps at Saddam's urging, flew to Iran to sit out the war.

That's an interesting way to put it.

So, Saddam moving WMD to Syria may not be out of the question based on past Iraqi failed military strategies or mutinies. Now, right after those planes either defected or were sent to Iran, Iran stated, basically, the planes are ours now. There's precedent right there.

Most of the Iraqi air force wound up there. Who knows why? Those planes would have been destroyed anyway, so that little strategem didn't work.

So, if Saddam sent his WMD to Syria, what's the issue?

The issue is that they might still be used. Ask the Jordanian police if they think that's a possibility.

If it's true, the WMD now belong to Assad and Syria. So, what's the problem? Syria has never in any way, shape nor form threatened the U.S. Where's the problem with Syria taking possession of Saddam's WMD?

Are you being obtuse out of ignorance or just irresponsibility?

Syria is not a party to either the chemical or biological weapons treaties.

Really? I wonder why.

As unbelievable as this may sound, they are truly and legally allowed to make and keep any chemical and biological weapons they want.

And you're fine with that. What incredible bullshit.

Again, if Syria has Saddam's WMD, why is it our business? It's not.

You're an incredible dumbass. There can be no denying this.

The only chemical weapon convention Syria has signed onto is the Geneva Conventions, and those only prohibit first use, which Syria claims it will abide by with the caveat that it doesn't apply it to Israel because it doesn't recognize Israel. I can see how this is a problem for Israel, although they have their own (nuclear) deterrent, so it really isn't an issue for them.

I see. You're also an anti-Semite. Do you deny that?

Furthermore, if Syria has Saddam's WMD stocks, my understanding is they have the most capable chemical weapons program in the region due to old Soviet support of some kind. Adding a few more dozen tons of WMD is unlikely to change any strategic balance. Again, no U.S. interest there.

Oh, no, no. Not at all.

So, as Syria is allowed to have WMD because they've never renounced ownership of them; as Syria has never threatened the U.S.; as Syria's possession of WMD changes no regional strategic balance; what friggin' difference does it make if Saddam's WMD were given to Syria? If Saddam gave his WMD to Syria, then Saddam disarmed and he had no WMD. It makes no difference if Syria has them or not. What am I missing? It's a silly argument to blame Syria for taking possession of Saddam's WMD for these reasons.

This is one for the record books. (Steve, do you guys mind if I reproduce this shitforbrains' [argument] on my blog? It's an almost flawless example of the idiocy of the anti-war movement.)

More Tone-Deafness from Kerry
Kerry wants Rumsfeld to resign over the abuse scandal at Abu Ghraib. But the vast majority of Americans, in every poll I've seen, do not. This should tell us something about the disconnectedness of Kerry as a judge of public sentiment, as well as his willingness to be a chickenshit. No wonder the liberal media identify with him so much.

I don't know if it's just my own wishful thinking, but I sure would like to see more evidence of a backlash against Big Media for their completely unprincipled use of Abu Ghraib as a tool with which to harm this Administration. Is it necessary to tell them we are at war and that this sort of thing is bad for troop morale? Used to be, people knew when to shut their fucking mouths (at least that's what the old-time propaganda posters would have us think). But in an age of ever faster and more far-reaching digital communications, the media have a commensurate responsibility to keep the impact of these things in mind. I'm not about to say that we can't wage war successfully in this modern world with everybody a potential videographer, but I am saying that a vote for Kerry is a vote for those who hate America.

Did that come out right?

Archbishop Shitforbrains
It's difficult to believe that someone could be as stupid as Vatican Foreign Minister, Archbishop Giovanni Lajolo, but it's true. This probable pederast actually said:

"...the torture of Iraqi prisoners [is] 'a more serious blow to the United States than Sept. 11. Except that the blow was not inflicted by terrorists but by Americans against themselves.'"

What a perverted world we live in when a Vatican politician has the balls to compare the abuse of a handful of prisoners to the atrocity of 11 September.

Any chance that this stronzo would equate the many thousands of cases of sexual abuse committed by his own organization over the past several centuries to what happened at Abu Ghraib? Uh, well, uh....

Hey, vaffanculo, Johnny!

Speak the Unspeakable
There's a fine essay (a speech, really) from Andrew C. McCarthy at NRO right now that makes a good case for calling a spade a spade. That is, we should not say that we are at war with terror, which is a method, but with those who are terrorists, meaning Islamofascists.

But maybe the best observation McCarthy makes regards the silence and acquiescence of too many so-called "moderate Muslims." Why don't more Muslims stand up and condemn the atrocities committed in their name?

"Repeatedly they'd tell us that the militant factions dominated their communities. These elements were usually not the most numerous, but they were the most vocal, the best networked, the best funded, and the most intimidating. Consequently, people whose patriotic instinct was to be helpful could not overcome the fear that they and their families could be blackballed if it became known that they had helped the United States prosecute Muslim terrorists. The militants had the kind of suasion that could turn whole communities into captive audiences."

Maybe it is all about coercion, which is a bad enough sign of the character of these "moderates." But, then again, maybe it's all about how Islam is an inherently violent religion and that the acquiescence of its "moderate" members is something more akin to indifference.

I have no confidence in Islam on either count. I think it is a global purveyor of spiritual fascism.

I also think that nits make lice.

Delusions
Michael Berg, the father of the young American businessman beheaded on video by Abu al-Zarqawi, says that those who committed the deed didn't know what they were doing. He said his son "was their best friend" because he was there in Iraq to help them.

I'm not too quick to criticize the heartfelt beliefs of a man whose son was just slaughtered for all the world to see, but one really must ask what the fuck he's thinking of. The elder Mr. Berg is an anti-war activist, but that's no excuse for being so utterly ignorant of ---if not delusional about--- the true sentiments of these wretched savages. Is it really possible that Berg has confused the genocidal desires of these Islamofascist foreigners with the legitimate aims of a hopeful Iraqi society?

I am sorry for the Bergs' loss, but what happened to their boy was anti-American and probably anti-Jewish hatred. These al-Qaedist turds want to do to all of us what they did to Nick Berg. The instant you begin to doubt that will mark the beginning of your own demise. It's time to accept the reality of these atrocities and to be grateful for the sacrifices our men and women on the front lines are making to provide for our defense and security. Those of us who cannot serve must find other ways to participate in this war against Islamofascism. If you do nothing else but argue against traitors and quisling bastards who damn our efforts with their sedition and propaganda, at least do that. That is a small role that I am taking on, too. But don't remain silent in the face of this nonsense. You are hated because you are an American. If you think you're going to buy yourself time and security by sucking up to these animals and "feeling their pain," you're out of your mind. They'd kill you just as soon as they would me, if they had their druthers.

Snap out of it, dhimmis. It's time to kill or be killed.

Yank His Citizenship
Courtesy of the Media Research Center, here's a transcript of Peter Jennings' remarks from his little program last night:

Jennings announced on the May 12 World News Tonight, following multiple stories on the prisoner abuse matter: "And now to the murder of the American civilian, Nicholas Berg. President Bush said today there was 'no justification' for what he called the 'brutal execution' of Berg. Mr. Bush also said it would not disrupt the U.S. mission in Iraq. The suspected terrorist leader, who's claimed responsibility for Mr. Berg's murder, is one of the most wanted men in Iraq -- at least by the United States."

How about mentioning the fact that Zarqawi's an associate of Osama's? Zarqawi is a prominent member of al-Qaeda ---in Iraq and murdering American citizens. Why not mention his affiliation? Because it proves this Administration's claims that al-Qaeda is a threat in Iraq? And what's with the stupid qualification "at least by the United States"? It's a smug, anti-American remark that real Americans should take him to task for.

Fuck Jennings. The guy is the very definition of a fifth column.

Did you know that Mexico has an air force? Neither did I. But, apparently, they filmed some UFOs in their skies last night, I guess it was, and everyone's very excited about it. I saw the footage and it definitely looks weird.

Looks like Oklahoma's Senator James Inhofe thinks the do-gooders need to get a grip. Finally we've got someone calling out Levin and Kennedy and other such pieces of shit on their utter lack of perspective.

But, hey. Looks like Turd Kennedy's friend Abu Zarqawi is following the Leftists' script just fine. Use Abu Ghraib just like the traitors here are doing as a pretext for decapitating a young American on tape.

Time to shut your fucking mouths, you worthless fucks. You sicken me.

Disproportionality
Mood:  don't ask
I saw a woman interviewed on KEYE News last night who said that the pictures of the abused prisoners from Abu Ghraib reminded her of footage she's seen from the Holocaust.

That was about the same time I popped in a Simpsons DVD.

Fuck this nonsense. I've never seen such an overplayed hand in my whole life. Some of the conservative commentary says to just wait for the blowback. But I haven't seen a sign of any such thing.

It's My Lai v.2 ---to fucking idiots.

"I want to die in a vegan world..."
Mood:  hungry
As you may know, my ongoing online dating situation has been the stuff of [legends]. I've managed to squeeze a few dates out of it, but it's basically sucked ass.

Yet, I think I may have touched the nadir of my experience this morning when I opened the profile on one match and the first words of this woman's narrative were "I want to die in a vegan world..."

I thought it might have been a parody of some kind, but no. It continued on in this vein for the rest of the profile.

Let's be clear: veganism is unnatural. Which means it's the practice of freaks and perverts. Man only exists because he eats animals and uses their byproducts. People who don't understand this are condemned to die unsatisfied and hungry. Piss on 'em.

If God exists, he'll send me a full-bodied, raven-haired wench who likes to eat meat.

Veganism! Jesus....

About Frank Meziere's Murderer
I don't have any news on the status of the piece of shit who killed my family's friend, but I just came across what I guess is the most recent decision handed down in this case by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, which was in June of last year. (It's a .pdf file, if that makes any difference to you.) Read it to get a sense of just what straws these suits will grasp at in the defense of the indefensible.

I expect to see the decision on the piece of shit's latest appeal in the next few weeks. His argument this time is that he is too mentally retarded to be executed.

Strange. Frank was too good a man to be murdered.

I'm gonna be there in Huntsville, cuz. I'm gonna smile when I hear they've stuck you in the arm.

Gulp.
If you don't know it, one of the best blogs anywhere is the Belmont Club ---and here's the evidence to prove it:

One day Ted Koppel will read, in addition to the names of American soldiers who died in Iraq, the names of friends who will have died in another attack on New York. One day Nicholas de Genovea, the Columbia professor who called for a "million Mogadishus" will understand that it means a billion dead Muslims. And then for the first time, perhaps, they will understand the horror of Abu Ghraib while we all raise our glasses, sardonically like Robert Graves, "with affection, to the men we used to be".

"I Think They Had Enough Today"
According to the New York Times, our boys are killing "scores" of insurgents in and around Karbala, Najaf, and Kufa. Right now. As we sit here and relax.

Outstanding work, gentlemen.

"I think they had enough today," Captain Adcock said of the insurgents as he chewed on a cigar after the battle on Friday. "They may get ready and go back tonight. But right now they've had enough."

And, as you might have expected, the giant circle-jerk that Big Media and the Leftist dhimmis are engaged in right now over the prisoner abuse scandal is being echoed in the mosques where al-Sadr is hiding:

"What kind of peace could come from you or your agents when you feel pleasure at torturing prisoners?" the 31-year-old cleric, Moktada al-Sadr, said to cheering supporters at his mosque in Kufa. "How are you going to control the world when you can't control a few soldiers here and there? If anyone did this to one of your people, would you accept it?"

What this stupid fuck fails to acknowledge is that the only thing keeping him from getting shredded to pieces by American soldiers is the fact that he's a pussy who hides in holy shrines and sends his men around with women and children to shield them from getting their tickets to paradise punched with a hole in their heads. Get it? The only thing keeping him alive is the American military's respect for those mosques and the innocent people who live around them. Take that from the equation and you've got several thousand dead towelheads inside of an afternoon.

A Word from a Correspondent
Deep Blade writes to say:

If they raze Abu Ghraib, as even Rumsfeld didn't disagree should be done in testimony today, I'll begin to see the US rising above its Iraqi mass-grave-era client, Saddam Hussein. Whose idea was it to take Saddam's gulag and use it as a prison, anyway?

It's pretty ridiculous to say that, if the United States will just raze Abu Ghraib, you'll begin to see us as being better than Saddam. Did you mean to write that? We are obviously on a higher moral plane than that psychopath, and what we are doing to liberate the Iraqi people is a beautiful demonstration of the superiority of our system. They are free to speak, worship, associate, and purchase as they please. A huge step forward in just a year.

It may be of symbolic interest to tear down Abu Ghraib, but so would renovating it into a top-notch school or museum. The Iraqis should consider transforming such buildings into working monuments to the future, as well as the past.

But you're only riding this because it is perceived as a slam on the President. I think it's time for the Left to take a breath and read the facts. Nobody cared about the abuses when they were first reported months ago; they only care now because there's [pretty] pictures to look at and swoon over.
