Pony with a Shiny Coat
If the President were smart, he'd come out before the cameras in the Rose Garden tomorrow and say that he has heard the American People's concerns and that he is going to put those concerns ahead of his own informed opinion that there's nothing wrong with the United Arab Emirates' taking over the management of six major American ports. It would be a rare moment of the led leading their leader ---but that will never happen because he is just determined enough to make this a problem for no apparent fucking reason.

I just assumed that this [uproar] was a Democratic ploy (abetted, of course, by the usual Big Media organs) to make the Democratic Party look like it actually cares about our national security. You know: bare 'em a little fang; out-react the reactionaries; affect a feeling thou hast not.

But everybody's fuming over this one. Who knew? I'm getting a little emotional here, just thinking of how the Left and Right are coming together in defense of our ports against the tin-eared and tin-potted dictator.

(You're probably right, Rider: something about this story smells.)

"...his own informed opinion..."

The only problem there is that he wasn't informed about the deal until after it happened:

"President Bush wasn't aware of the sale of six U.S. ports to an Arab company until after federal approval was granted and congressional opposition erupted over the deal, his spokesman said today." -- Washington Post

The veto thing. It's like you farted and then had an attitude about it and said, "Hey, I meant to do that, OK? Yeah, I meant to fart. So shut the fuck up!"

How many more days before it is revealed that the bin Laden family has financial ties to Dubai Ports Corporation?

I say "informed" because it's obviously been explained to Bush that the security concerns had already been addressed by competent technocrats in a position to know. Extra measures were put in place in possible anticipation of just this sort of reaction, as I take it, but they have made nonsense of the Administration's plans.

Bush is a CEO, you know, not a king. He is going to have to rely on the informed opinion of the bureaucrats who run the day-to-day in this government. And, when he does, he is usually going to be obligated to support their judgements.

In this case, though, the judgements of technocrats are inferior to the political risk to a President, even if he doesn't seem to have fully gauged it yet.

But I have no idea what this is all about, except for the part where the Democrats are playing cowboys and injuns. That part is obvious.

Dubai Ports, Arbusto, ...the list goes on. The Bushes and Clintons and Bin Ladens are so incestuously inseparable it is incredible! Bushes and Bin Ladens have served on some of the same boards of directors, have invested in the same companies, even supposedly vacationed together. Clinton is a globalist Rockefeller protege who bowed down(no shit, bowed!)before the Bilderberg Group and swore his allegiance to the New World Order that Bush Sr. kept expousing. Every one of those fake bastards is part of the biggest psi-op acting troupe that ever existed. They put on this great good cop/bad cop act, like some overdone stereotypes, and keep the country divided with their demographically appropriate shenanigans. The elite manipulate the masses through the media and get everyone wrapped up in their grand and spectacular soap opera while they build the prison around us.

Anyone concerned about Dubai running our ports should be concerned about open borders, unfair "free trade" agreements, water rights being sold to Europeans and Asians, and our freedom to travel freely through our state sold to Spanish banks. They should worry about a Halliburton subsidiary building concentration camps for Americans ("in case of emergency")all over the country (which will be staffed by a special mix of FEMA, DHS, and Wackenhut Security) (again, no shit!); they should be worried about government-sponsored population control exercises that involve the use of man-made diseases and potentially-harmful vaccines whose makers are set to be legally immune and not-at-all liable in the event that they should harm us. They should be upset or at least curious about the new FEMA morgue "that can process hundreds of thousands of dead" being constructed and staffed; and about every other town in the country turning into a Big Brother-style camera-land police state.

Surely we have other problems to solve as a nation of "free" people.
