I don't disagree with your post about thos silly fukkers.
As a catholic raised on the lives of the saints complete with magnificent color pictures of the horrible martyrdoms , I can safely say that they are a bunch of mealy mouth protestant pussies.

(of course you know, ingratitude is not a cardinal sin, but Wrath, Pride, Avarice, Gluttony, and lust seem to be really popular now...I won't mention Sloth and Envy because those are why I watch TV.)

Inhuman? Maybe it's the other way around and these Quakers have figured out what being a human being is really all about. The long, sad history of returning violence for violence has so far not advanced the species toward anything except more violence. Pretty bitchy and petty, TP. Geezus. "Hippie morons"? Give me a freaking break. Just freed from four months at gunpoint and you are carping about their etiquette? Here is that addendum published hours after the first statement:

We have been so overwhelmed and overjoyed to have Jim, Harmeet and Norman freed, that we have not adequately thanked the people involved with freeing them, nor remembered those still in captivity. So we offer these paragraphs as the first of several addenda:

We are grateful to the soldiers who risked their lives to free Jim, Norman and Harmeet. As peacemakers who hold firm to our commitment to nonviolence, we are also deeply grateful that they fired no shots to free our colleagues. We are thankful to all the people who gave of themselves sacrificially to free Jim, Norman, Harmeet and Tom over the last four months, and those supporters who prayed and wept for our brothers in captivity, for their loved ones and for us, their co-workers.

We will continue to advocate for the human rights of Iraqi detainees and assert their right to due process in a just legal system.

Any reasonable person would also assume that they had thanked their liberators personally and profusely in private as well as in print. In so ungraciously belittling these good people you make yourself far smaller.

Just tell me that you aren't always able to propagandize yourself like that. Etiquette?! I don't believe that deliberately ambiguating one's obvious debt to one's liberators is merely a lapse in one's taste.
