The smiling faces of the soldiers under her command will launch a thousand terrorists.

My question is if she has not been relieved of command then what is she doing running around in civilian clothing telling anyone who will listen that it's not my fault. As a soldier I am angered by that the actions of a few irresponsible people could bring shame to my army. I question the fact that she says since MI had taken over the prison she was somehow not responsible for the soldier under her command. Obviously the soldiers too their que from her. Bottom line a commander is always responsible for their soldiers actions as well as their well-being. There seems to be a total collaspe of the chain of command here. NCO's on the scene should have remebered their role and acted in accordance with the Law of Landwarfare and if questions arose sought written guidance from their commanders. Also where were the lower grade officers the Lieutenants, Captains and the Field Grade Officers who are in these soldiers Chain of Command. No reports yet of their actions in this. Bottom line there was a total failure of personnel at all levels. But running around crying don't blame me is not what I would expect from a General Officer. Have Generals become so political that we no longer expect to hold them to account for the actions of their command. Shame on you General Karpinski
