The reigning world champion in judo, Arash Miresmaeili, withdrew from his Olympic bout with an Israeli athlete because

according to the Islamic Republic News Agency, Miresmaeili said that he "refused to play against an Israeli rival to sympathize with the oppressed Palestinian people."

But we know the real reason: Miresmaeili didn't want some Jewish kid beating him up in front of the whole world. Sorry turd.

If, on the other hand, the Iranian government instructed this guy to withdraw out of political pique, I hope it gets the kids back home mad at the mullahs for depriving them of a shot at the gold.

You're probably right about Miresmaeili not wanting to get squashed by a Jew in the ring, but I'm wondering why the Olympic committeee doesn't just come out and disqualify the whole Iranian team from the games for selecting a poor representative for the event. Israel shouldn't laugh too much, though. Their country was built by the wealthiest jews in the world to stir up the local A-rabs so that there would be eternal conflict in the region. Conflict is what keeps the Israeli economy going, and keeps their benefactors wealthy. It's not like they export anything useful other than military equipment. The only thing that makes them different from the Palestinians is their economy. Otherwise they're all just a bunch of vendetta-obsessed myth-worshipping goons. I hope that part of the earth is vaporized by a chunk of space debris-- Tunguska-style. I hate to see a bunch of fanatics fucking up my planet for some piece of the "holy land". not to worry, though. Fresh drinking water supplies in the region will not be sufficient for anyone other than Israel within a decade or so, at which point plague and famine will do most of Israel's dirty work on its neighbors.
