Courtesy of the Ace of Spades, have a look at what The American Spectator has to say about the provenance of the Killian Forgeries (yep, they've already graduated to capital letters, beeyotch!):
More than six weeks ago, an opposition research staffer for the Democratic National Committee received documents purportedly written by President George W. Bush's Texas Air National Guard squadron commander, the late Col. Jerry Killian.A "retired military officer," eh? Well, I think someone should start an investigation into how Dan Rather came into the possession of what are obviously fraudulent documents intended to libel the President of the United States. Maybe a subpoena will shake the name of that "retired military officer" loose, hmmm?
The oppo researcher claimed the source was "a retired military officer." According to a DNC staffer, the documents were seen by both senior staff members at the DNC, as well as the Kerry campaign.
Damn, man. Me so horny. Me love this too much...
