It would have been nice if either of the police officers' video recorders in their cruisers that would have captured the scene had been operating to vindicate the officers' accounts of the events.
It's easy for the officer to claim that a suspect was resisting when the officer allegedly neglects to turn on her video recorder or allegedly forgets to put a new videotape in the machine.

Oh, I agree absolutely. I think Knee said that one of them hadn't even bothered to check out a tape for his recorder that night. Pretty negligent. And gives the conspiracy nuts something to use.
Anyway, Rocha had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest (for theft) and had a list of priors. Eighteen year-old kid and he was already a full-fledged fuck-up. That's a shame, but what are you going to do?
