Now here's the lie that immediately preceded the sentence you quoted:

Oh no, it's not really thinkable, except for the fact that the mention of her CIA position on the memo which circulated aboard Air Force One was marked SECRET in the margin. They knew EXACTLY what they were doing. They are despicable. You are defending traitors to America. Sorry you have to hear that from a lefty, but nobody from your side seems to have the decency to call them what they are.

The continual and endless repetition of these same lies has by this point become quite silly and annoying. No doubt this gives comfort to W-worshippers in an otherwise comfortless hour, but it's simply got to stop. This hopefully will dawn on you when you discover that the prosecutor has indicted neither Mr. Wilson nor his wife. Duh.

No, I'll help you out. Novak outed her as "a CIA operative."

Does that mean she was undercover? No. It could have meant that she was a desk analyst.

So, did Wilson reveal that she was undercover? No, of course not. Even after Novak's article he was very circumspect about exactly what her role was.

For years the Wilsons had told their friends that Valerie worked in the private sector for an energy consulting firm. If she really was working for the CIA but claiming to work for a private sector energy firm, that could only mean that the energy firm was her cover. CIA desk analysts don't have covers. "A CIA operative" with a cover is by definition an undercover agent. Got it?

Let's dispense with the self-righteous crap about how this so-called leak has irredeemably damaged our country's network of undercover assets abroad. Plame was a WMD analyst who got her husband a gig which she probably couldn't pull off herself on account of her gender.

Forpityssake, make up your mind. Was there a leak ("...he is the one who has committed the crime..."), or wasn't there ("this so-called leak")?

Name a member of the press to whom the CIA confirmed her employment prior to Novak's article outing her. That's bullshit. The CIA made several calls to Novak begging him not to print this when he called to ask them to confirm it, which they refused to do.

Her employment with the CIA was marked "S/NF" on the Air Force One memo, indicating that it was TOP SECRET and not even to be shared with (friendly) foreign intelligence services. If it wasn't even to be shared with British intelligence, for example, it wasn't to be shared with any journalist that called up, including Novak. And it damned sure wasn't common knowledge at cocktail parties. Her friends and neighbors had no idea she worked for the CIA.

I'll stop what you call "the self-righteous crap" when ANYONE from your side has the decency to call these White House traitors out for selling out a deep-cover American CIA officer. Until then, you'll just have to keep hearing it from lefties.
