Party of Treason
Now Playing: "Street Spirit" by Radiohead
No one believes that the anti-war Left actually cares about the military or about the lives from amongst its ranks that have been lost or affected in the fight against our Islamofascist enemies. But because it makes good copy or TV to confuse the supposed concerns of these rodents with the true interests of the American people, we are expected to take the word of Big Media seriously on the topic of war.

But I just can't.

I don't care what goddamned Howard Fineman says to the excremental Keith Olbermann about anything. These miserable rats squeak at each other and groom each other's hides on the TV every night, but am I supposed to believe that they have our country's or our military's best interests at heart? Get real. This isn't about conscientiously defending the lives of American servicemen and women against the irrationalities of war ---this is only about a couple of liberal Democrats getting their shots off at the President.

And when the only reason why you are anti-war and anti-military is because you can't cope with the grief of losing the past two Presidential elections, then what that makes you is a fucking tool in the hands of the party of treason.

Where's your gratitude? If "Big Media" hadn't helped the Busheviks spread their WMD-Al Qaeda-9/11-lies, we wouldn't even be in Iraq.

The Trotskyite Bush leg-humpers are the "party of treason." Sorry you have to listen to us libs defend the troops and the military, but until some conservatives manage to locate their moral backbones they are just going to keep babbling bullshit to protect their lying president above all else, including the troops.

I hadn't heard that the recruiters were only accepting Republicans now. We defend the troops because they are our kids. We defend the troops because Democrats actually serve while 5-deferment chickenhawks shoot off their mouths:

Give 'em hell Toby! It's so rare nowadays to find someone willing to sit behind a keyboard and type outraaaaageous things about the anti-war Left. You are a Brave American. Please spawn soon.

Assuming that you are one of the treasonous losers I've described ---and you may as well be since you defend them--- I suppose you must be one of those rare logicians who believes that advocacy is contingent on personal experience alone. That is to say, your notions of political participation in a free society like mine are basically those of a young pederast in Ancient Sparta. Now go ram a pike up your own ass.

But I thought we were all agreed that al-Qaeda was linked to 9/11.

Don't forget: your hyperliteralist understanding of our war aims doesn't vindicate anything. We are in Iraq for lots of reasons. Try to think of some others.

You lost me at "logicians". Try cutting back on the five dollar words boyo. It's a bit dick-in-hand if you know what I mean.

No shit, Sherlock. That's what the War in Afghanistan was all about.

But we weren't all agreed that there was a link between Saddam and al-Qaeda, nor one between Saddam and 9/11, nor one between Saddam and WMD.

The WMD-Al Qaeda-9/11 lies that the NYTimes helped the Busheviks spread were about Saddam Hussein.

What you call "hyperliteralist" reasons were the main prewar talking points of the prominent members of the administration, e.g., of Colin Powell at the U.N. (apart from overtly linking Saddam and 9/11).

But you're right. We are in Iraq for lots of reasons. Two of them are that both Iran and Israel, each for different reasons, wanted us to be there and did whatever they had to to the "intelligence" they fed to Doug Feith et al. to make it / let it happen.

...that advocacy is contingent on personal experience alone.

No one believes that. Most people do believe that personal experience has a lot to do with one's credibility, and vice versa. Hawks who have gone out of their way to avoid serving sound -- oh what's the word I'm looking for -- phony!

Sure. You're a jagoff, yeah?

What else can I say to you on this topic, Rider? It simply cannot be that a person may only speak on topics of which he has direct personal experience. "Credibility" does not depend on such a standard. If it did, then your anti-war position would be rendered invalid by any pro-war statement made by anybody who has been in combat. How could you possibly accept that?

Objectively speaking, war has made and destroyed empires, ideologies, and entire peoples. Every war ever fought has been advocated and/or opposed by countless millions whose lives have been affected by them. Today, it is our turn, whatever our roles may be.

If Saddam was linked to al qaeda, even though he was on their hit list, why don't we put hi on trial for it?
