It was NOT a good address. It was more lip service to a few real issues, more skipping over real issues, and more "stay the course/fear the terrorists" propaganda garbage. He gave a speech that sounded like a first-term campaign speech. It was an obvious escape from any discussion of his failure to get anything good accomplished in the last half-decade. It was a bunch of empty promises about gaining independence from foreign oil and improving the competitiveness of our poorly-educated public schoolchildren, the same kind of promises he made in his last couple of SOTU speeches and campaign speeches. This coming from a guy who constantly works to undercur funding for efforts on both those fronts. This address was nothing but a feel-good rallying cry for the idiots who put him in office. Nothing substantive was said, just reaffirming the talking points for his moronic following.
Stay the course, y'all!
