Good on You, Mr. Hope
There's nothing bad I can say about Bob Hope that could possibly matter, so I will just suffice it to say that I wish him warm remembrances and all comfort on this, his 100th birthday. I personally don't find Mr. Hope funny. I think his comedy requires the strongest possible admixture of marihuana and hooch to be palatable to someone of my generation. But as a lover of American History and culture, and a strong supporter of our military, I applaud him for the great influence he has always been.

Bob Hope...If you've only seen stock footage of him entertaining the troops on the history channel, you just haven't seen Bob Hope. According to my Dad, who was in Korea, Bob Hope was the master of the burlesque show. His jokes were nasty enough to peel paint and make a hooker blush. Guys lined up to see his show because he always brought along strippers and go-go dancers. It's funny how he became socially acceptable through sheer persistence.

Good for him. Let's give him a new diaper!
